NEXT TO THE WINDOW
I will stay until you come back
from that shadow that dives gropingly,
even if he grabs me by the tips of my beard
and comes a day that does not save me
from falling to the ground.
Even if God does not want it,
in the rain or in the sun,
I will be there.
When I’m so old and unable
I will also remain there,
even without desire,
I’ll stay until you come back
from the sweet death of your heart,
where wounds are sweetened
and no tears flow from the eyes,
I will be there
next to the window.
